WHO WE ARE

Epsilon Sigma Alpha International is a leadership and service organization bringing good people together to do good things through programs and projects that make a positive difference…locally, nationally, and internationally. Through a network of thousands of members and more than 1,200 chapters, ESA provides more than 650,000 service hours and over $18 million for charitable causes each year. In 2007, ESA raised almost $12 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital located in Memphis, TN, and the leading pediatric cancer research hospital in the country.

The North Carolina State Council, formed in 1952 in Greensboro, North Carolina, is now comprises over 240 members and 12 chapters. The council comes together several times a year to provide opportunities for individual and leadership development, to build and renew friendships, and conduct business.

ST JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL

One of ESA’s major philanthropic projects is helping St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1972, ESA adopted the hospital as its international philanthropic project. As a result of ESA’s relationship with ALSAC, St. Jude’s fundraising arm, ESA raises well above $12 million in cash and pledges each year for the hospital. Members of ESA are the most dedicated and hardworking volunteers.

HOPE FOR HEROES

Heroes_logo_ESA_logo_edited.jpg

ESA first began supporting the troops rolling bandages in World War II, and while the needs of our brave military members and veterans have changed over the decades, our desire to support them has not. ESA members across the country through our Hope for Heroes program support not only large national charities but also scores of local military support organizations and individual service members. Whether organizing a Veterans’ Day parade for the whole community or quietly making Christmas happen for one deserving military family in our hometown, we love supporting those who sacrifice so much for us.

EASTER SEALS

For more than 85 years, Easterseals has been offering help and hope to children and adults living with disabilities, and to the families who love them. Through therapy, training, education and support services, Easterseals creates life-changing solutions so that people with disabilities can live, learn, work and play in their communities.

For over 25 years, ESA has been a supporter of Easterseals, raising more than $6 million.
